Everyone loves the Cycladic islands because of their lovely beaches and stunning sunsets. The Cyclades' northern and central islands, Serifos and Kythnos, Serifos' neighbour Paros, and the more sophisticated Syros and Kea, are all included in our recommended sailing route (or Tzia).

Due to its proximity to Athens, Kea has a well-established tourist sector and a large number of vacation rentals. At Voukouri, the major marina, you'll generally find a swarm of sailors enjoying food, drink, and a little downtime. It's worth the drive to Ioulida, where you'll enter through the town's major gates (no cars allowed). The modest museum and the 15-minute walk out to see the famed smiling lion of Kea, a bizarre granite monument of a lion with a slightly dubious history, are both worthwhile. The ancient ruins of Karthea are well worth a visit for those who have more time.
It's a pleasure to spend time in Ermoupolis, Syros's capital city, where you'll find several historic Orthodox and Catholic churches to see as well as quaint streets and stunning sea vistas. For those who want to gamble, Syros is also home to the renowned Syros Casino. All of the conveniences you'll need are available at Finikas' marina.
Aegean island paradise: Paros, the second biggest island in the Cyclades, with kilometres of sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. The nightlife in Parikia's main town is plentiful, with many of great cafes and tavernas to choose from. The Archaeological Museum of Paros and the Byzantine Museum are both located in Parikia.
The sun, sand, and sea lovers will delight in Serifos, which has a plethora of secluded coves and stunning beaches. The main settlement of Chora is located in the highlands, and the church at the summit provides stunning views of the surrounding area. Small museums and cafes abound in Chora's downtown area, making it a great place to stop for a quick tsipouro or a cold beer.
Kythnos is a popular Cycladic island for Greek tourists who know what they're doing, thanks to its beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters. The Oria Castle, the Katafiki Cave, and numerous churches and monasteries are just a few of the must-see attractions. Kythnos is a truly stunning island!
